# Quickstart

> From new account to a working company brain in a few minutes

## 1. Create your account

Sign up at your Brink workspace with **Google** or an email and password.

<Note>
  Brink is in closed beta. If you created your account directly (rather than through a teammate's invitation), you'll be asked for the 8-character activation code we shared with you (e.g. `BRINK-XXXXXXXX`). Accepting an invitation activates your account automatically.
</Note>

## 2. Set up your organization

The first admin walks through a five-step setup wizard:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create your organization">
    Pick a name and a URL slug.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add your projects">
    Create a project for each job you want Brink to cover — you can always add more later.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Give each project an inbox">
    Each project can get its own [AI employee with an email address](/integrations/ai-employee-inbox). Forward anything to it and it becomes knowledge the whole team can ask about.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect your tools">
    Link Procore, Slack, Teams, Box, and the rest — see the [integrations overview](/integrations/overview). Remember to **bind** each connection's resources to your projects afterward.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Invite your teammates">
    Invite by email as **Member** or **Admin**, and choose which projects each person can access. Invitees get a link that activates their account automatically.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Every step can be skipped and finished later.

## 3. Personal setup

Every member — including people joining by invitation — gets a short personal setup:

1. **Connect your own tools.** Link the accounts you work out of (Gmail, Outlook, your calendar) so your assistant can answer from your own email and meetings. **This data is private to you** — it powers your own assistant and is never visible to your teammates.
2. **Confirm your projects.** These come with your invitation; everything you ask is answered in the context of the project you pick.

## 4. Start asking questions

Head to **Chat** and ask anything about your projects:

* *"Which RFIs are holding things up?"*
* *"Where are submittals slipping?"*
* *"Change-event exposure by project"*

Every answer streams in with numbered citations back to the exact email, Slack message, Procore record, or document page it came from. See [Ask the assistant](/features/assistant) for everything the chat can do.

<Tip>
  Data appears as syncs complete. Recent email and messages are searchable within minutes of binding; large document folders and Slack channels backfill over the first hours.
