# Gmail

> Bring your email threads and attachments into your personal assistant — private to you

Gmail is a **personal-only** integration: a mailbox belongs to one person, so Gmail never appears on the organization Integrations tab. Data from your Gmail is visible **only to you** — it powers your own assistant and is never shared with your team.

**Who can connect:** any member, from their own profile.

## Connect Gmail

    Go to **Profile → My integrations** (or the **My integrations** view on the Integrations page) and click **Connect** on the Gmail row.

  <Step title="Authorize with Google">
    Sign in and approve read-only access to your mail (`gmail.readonly`). Brink can read messages but can never send, modify, or delete anything.

  <Step title="Bind labels (optional)">
    Bind specific Gmail labels to projects to focus what gets indexed.

## What gets synced

* Email messages and threads
* **Attachments** flow into the Document Center — drawings, contracts, and site photos in your email become searchable and citable. Calendar invites and signature images are deliberately skipped.
* RFI and submittal numbers found in subjects or bodies are cross-linked to Procore records

New mail arrives near-real-time via push notifications. History backfills recent-first in 30-day windows, covering about a year by default.

## Privacy

  Only you can see data from this connection. It is always scoped `private` to your user — no setting, binding, or admin action can widen it to your team.

Disconnecting (from your profile) revokes Brink's access with Google and deletes the stored credentials. You may see Google's consent screen again on every reconnect — that's expected.
